Y11 Teacher Assessed Grades 2021

As you will be aware, all formal examinations have been cancelled due to national restrictions resulting in school closure earlier this year. As a result, Y11 students will now be awarded Teacher Assessed Grades on August 12th, 2021 (results day).

The document 'How your GCSEs will be awarded' was shared with students prior to Easter explaining how teacher assessed grades will be determined and reminding them that, as with the usual exam protocol, no marks or grades will be shared with them until results day.

Throughout this process,  all teachers and leaders are following robust internal quality assurance processes, in line with JCQ regulations, as well as ensuring all eligible students are provided with their required access arrangements.

Please read our centre policy below which outlines all internal quality assurance processes, information on training, recording of evidence, external quality assurance and the appeals process as well as all aspects of the assessment timeline.

All assessments taking place within school are line with exam board expectations and are only assessing students on content which they have been taught. This was explained to students via a virtual assembly on the assessment process.

Extra revision is available to all Y11 students via our Period 5 revision classes (3-4pm); a timetable of these has been sent to all student email addresses. Students will also have access to revision via their google classrooms and have been encouraged to check daily.
