Exams Information
DfE Learning Records Service
The link below will direct you to the LRS privacy notice which summarises the information held on record about students, why it is held and the third parties with whom the data may be shared. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/lrs-privacy-notices/lrs-privacy-notice
Please note this is specific to students over the age of 14 as they start to take their final exams.
Post Results and Reviews of Marking
All exam boards offer Post-Results Services.
For a fee, exam boards will review an exam to ensure that marks were allocated correctly. This can lead to a grade decreasing, increasing or remaining the same.
If a student is extremely close to the next grade boundary, school will encourage a review of marking. Students will be notified of grade boundaries and their marks on results day. If on results day, students are unsure or have any queries, they can visit our post results office. If a student is far away from the next grade boundary, it is unlikely that their grade will increase.
However, if you would like to discuss or request a review of marking please email Mrs Green (Exams & Data Manager)
sgreen@winterhill.org.ukThe exam boards charge a fee for this service which will need to be paid in advance.
Certificate Collection
Parents/carers will be notified when certificates are available to collect from Main Reception.
Please note if the student is unable to collect in person. Photo I.D & prior consent from the student is required on collection. Certificates will not be issued to a 3rd party without prior student consent.
