As a guardian, you can receive email summaries about your child’s activity in their classroom.
In email summaries, you can review:
If there’s no activity to report, you won’t get an email summary for that day as all students’ work is set as per their timetable.
You can opt in to receive your child’s Google Classroom email summaries with any email address as long as this is the same email address as the one you use as parent/carer on our school system. If you wish to update your email address on the school system, please email: update@winterhill.org.uk with your old details, new details, child’s name and form group prior to following the steps below.
If you would like to receive your child’s Google Classroom email summaries, please email the address below giving the following information:
PLEASE NOTE : We can not accept email addresses that are not registered with school, due to safeguarding regulations. Please register all your email addresses as well as telephone numbers prior to asking for the guardian summaries.
However, to view or update your email summary settings, you would need a Google Account. With a Google Account, you can change the frequency of your emails, update your time zone, see the children connected to your account (if siblings are both accessing Google Classroom), and unsubscribe from email summaries. If you unsubscribe from email summaries, you’re still connected to a student as long as you have a Google Account. Otherwise, unsubscribing removes you as a guardian.
